Poachers in Paradise: I: Killers in the Swamp (Volume 1) Geoff Trager 1. izdevums

The action, adventure and mystery in the swamp begins with the debut novel of the POACHERS IN PARADISE series, when a professor and a game warden team up to track down a lawless ring of manatee-roasting rednecks running amok in the backwaters of southwest Florida. From that point on, their shared adventures escalate from comical to hilarious and dangerous to deadly, as the two man-hunters go for a wild ride in the wetlands, chasing their quarry through the mangroves, until finally, they come face to face with the armed and dangerous poachers on a remote barrier island. The professor, with his ?no guns? philosophy, refuses to carry a firearm, and Sanderson, although an armed and highly competent officer of the law, is precariously outnumbered. Have the two of them come up against more than they can handle? At first it certainly seems so. But the island is full of surprises that rapidly and chaotically shift the upper hand time and time again, until finally, a winning team is determined. Come along for a seriously humorous, off-beat romp in the swamp, loaded with local color and dialect, to find out where the chips fall.
