The Room
When I opened my eyes, the brightness was overwhelming. It hit me like an avalanche pouring into my brain. I squinted, it even made my eyes water. Slowly, shapes and slight shadows started to form as my pupils narrowed.

Everywhere is white. The walls; the ceiling...the floor...all are a brilliant blinding white. 'Whoever decorated this place needs some serious training in colour selection', I thought to myself. Even the chair I was sitting in, along with several others, was upholstered in soft, white leather.

As I looked around, I saw that in the corner, on a white cupboard, there was a water cooler. The water being the only thing in the room that was not white, but being transparent I suppose it didn't make much difference. Even the Styrofoam cups were...white.

Staggering to my feet, I looked around me. The walls were broken up with several white doors. Behind the seat in which I awoke, I saw a sign, thankfully in black letters. Waiting Room it said.

Where am I? How did I get here? What's all this about?

Then I remembered...
