KITTY BLUE: The bitter-sweet story of the connection between a passionate Aboriginal artist born under the stars in the Australian outback, and a country girl stepped from the pages of a Jane Austen novel. Murrandoo Martin is an artist living as a hermit, the last in a "lost tribe" of Aboriginal people taken from their traditional home in the stunning desert landscape of the fictional Currup Ranges in central Australia. Now Murrandoo decides to return to the Currup to paint what he suspects will be his masterpiece. He sets up camp on remote land owned by Atlantis Mining at the sacred Singing Rock gorge. Meanwhile, high-profile city lawyer Adam Clancy has arrived in the nearby town of Lisborne looking for Murrandoo. Clancy has long been intrigued by Murrandoo's life and explosive copyright claims. Weaving her way into the lives of both these men is 'Kitty Blue', the stage name of Catherine "Kitty" Bennet, a passionate but broke 26-year-old singer, returned home to the outback from the Sydney arts scene. Kitty moves back home with her mother and two sisters after breaking up with her no-good boyfriend Evan Wickham. She meets Adam Clancy when she takes a job in the legal office that he is temporarily operating out of, and assists him in the search for Murrandoo. Kitty Blue is a story about heart and following your dreams.
