In the author's experience and opinion, religion is responsible for a great many sins. In the name of religion-the pursuit of knowledge has been hampered. In the name of religion-women have been vilified. In the name of religion-countless acts of barbarism have been committed. Make no mistake, such things are still alive and well in the twenty-first century. Through the exploration of some of Christianity's most enduring mysteries and questions, Does It Matter? encourages you to re-examine your beliefs. Did Moses write the Old Testament? Was Jesus Christ the founder of Christianity? Do angels ever appear as female or children? Does the Bible say that the soul ascends to heaven or hell immediately after death? Was Mother Teresa really a godly woman? Has an actual miracle ever happened outside the Bible? What's more important, faith or truth? The answers may surprise you. Contributor Bio:  Rogers, Diane Diane was born on "The Jersey Shore" and spent much of her youth on the beach, but for the past 20+ years she's lived in the Kansas City area. She currently resides south of Kansas City with her husband, horses, a dog and a few cats. She has two grown children and five grandchildren. She's always loved the old West and history of the Civil War period. Her favorite movie is Dances With Wolves, an inspiration for the first book in the White Oaks Series. Having parents from both the "North and the South" and a cousin whose parents were reversed, they called each other "Yebels" as children and, imagined themselves, as children will do, 150 years ago fighting different sides of the war in their games. As a kid, Diane played "Cowboys and Indians" games more than she did with her Barbie, and it comes through in her writing, as she relates stories of the struggle of common people and what made this country great. When Diane isn't working on her next book in progress, one can find her curled up on the sofa engrossed in a good book or western movie.
