Lord Murkar and his sidekick Shorty are on a roll using two new techniques to gain control of the universe: - An awesome religion with two things other religions lack; present-day miracles, and immediate retribution for sinners. - A horrible ?black hole? weapon that can wipe out the three Shard Bearers and anyone else who opposes them as well as serve as a sepulchral part of their religious order. Using the inter-world ?Silver Expressway?, and hit and run tactics, Alexis, Dusty and Brandi must avoid annihilation, save their friends from slow painful deaths, and attack the very heart of their enemies emerging faith.
