Delineation of Dwelling Roof Design and Assemblage is a two volume series that explains in detail every aspect of the design and construction of residential roofs. The focus of this series is twofold. One is the description of multiple methods, the other is an in-depth explanation of the use of the framing square as the chief tool used for cutting a roof. The author explains how to use a framing square to to figure any roof cut including sheathing. This series goes beyond other roof framing books because methods of construction are also explained. Many illustrations are used as needed to further explain these concepts. Volume 1 describes the basic concepts, aesthetic impact of different roof forms, the fundamental tools, basic roof cutting, and the cutting of complex roofs. Multiple examples are used to describe each concept. Volume 2 explores roof concepts and materials that are commonly used, but are difficult to find information about. This volume describes cutting of miscellaneous roof forms, green roof construction, and alternative materials used for roof framing. This volume also explains estimating of roof framing materials to a depth that no other text does.
