Publisher Marketing: This book is for Christians as well as those looking for a better way to handle the stresses of contemporary living. All of us live very different lives. But whether we're married or single, with children or not, religious or not so much, regardless of where we live in the world, we all experience highs and lows in life. I've come to appreciate that nothing is impossible with God, and perhaps more importantly, I've (finally) started to learn that there's a lot more to life that I'll ever know. Enjoying the journey rather than fixating simply on a destination adds a lot to my quality of life. So this is a story of how I tried to enjoy the journey to an unknown destination when faced with unexpected change. My hope is that by telling some specific aspects of my life and how it shaped or was shaped by my faith that I can share some approaches that you can incorporate into your own life and find the strength or confidence to handle your personal challenges. I lost a job, but many of life's ups and downs are easier to handle with a stronger spiritual foundation. Each chapter is an glimpse into my personal situation, many of which are followed by suggestions on how to develop this aspect of your own faith. There's also references to Bible verses that encouraged me along the way. If even one passage of this book touches one person's heart, it has been worth writing.
