63 Things an Oxford and Harvard Education Doesn't Teach Us. ********* It is rather popular, and somewhat fashionable, to underrate formal education. But, formal education is, just that. Formal education. The author, Abesh Choudhury, an Oxford University and Harvard Law School lawyer, realised to his great dismay that twelve years after the formal education was done, he was left severely wanting in skills, thought-processes, and wisdom, that his University education had apparently not taught him. Did he miss something that had been offered to him at Oxford or Harvard? Does the First Class Degree at Oxford simply reflect Abesh?s clever exam-writing skills? Or, is it the somewhat disturbing fact that some things can, simply, not be taught? Abesh?s book sets out sixty-three things he wishes he had been taught at University; things he either hadn?t been taught, or those, he?d sadly missed learning. The book does not undermine the benefits of a good formal education.
