Toward Peace establishes the notion that truth in human activity is essential for any meaningful advancement toward peace, but it admits that humanity tends to wander between knowledge and ignorance, between a beneficent will and a concupiscent will. The manuscript explores laissez-faireism and fundamentalism, individualism and collectivism, economics, education, and government from philosophical, scientific, and religious points of view. This is accomplished by interweaving philosophical ideas expressed by Plato and Aristotle, with aphorisms expressed by ancient Indian and Chinese wise men, with Judaic and Christian scriptures, and with contemporary economic data and in vogue political notions.
