Kevin W Buck

Looking for Miss Crabtree: and Other Confessions of a Gravehunter Kevin W Buck

Do you have fond memories of watching Darla and Alfalfa of the Little Rascals? Did Granny on the Beverly Hillbillies make you laugh out loud? Did you ever expel a beverage through your nose laughing at the Three Stooges? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this book is for you!

There are many characters from yesteryear that have made indelible marks on the psyche of baby boomers and later generations. This book pays tribute to those actors whose roles have been ingrained into our culture by revealing their lives, their deaths and their final resting place. Follow along as the celebrity curtain is pulled back to reveal real people that are very much like you and me.

Kevin's tributes include a few big name stars such as Humphrey Bogart and Red Skelton, as well as many other actors who are not household names, but their characters certainly are. Names like Edgar Buchanan, Irene Ryan and Cliff Edwards are probably not familiar to most people, but Uncle Joe (from Petticoat Junction), Granny (from Beverly Hillbillies) and the voice of Jiminy Cricket sure are.

"This charming, down-to-earth book reflects what I believe is at the heart of every grave hunting adventure - visiting those who left us with fond memories and learning about their life as part of the experience"
Lisa Burks - Adventures in Gravehunting

There are many books that document celebrity grave locations, but they all tend to be just travel guides with location specifics and a brief bio. Looking for Miss Crabtree takes things to the next level and personalizes how these people, and their performances, impacted so many baby boom generations.
