Various books deal with the Catholic churches in Dublin, and the two Protestant cathedrals, but information is scarce about the Protestant parish churches, comprising Anglican, Presbyterian, Methodist, and Evangelical. The Quaker, Brethren, and Orthodox churches, all branches of Christianity, are also neglected, as are other minority religions, such as Islam and Judaism. Very often, these churches and places of worship are only open for about one hour a week, and therefore the general public and visitors never get a chance to look inside. This book is not about religion, nor architecture, but simply provides a snapshot of the inside of these various religious buildings, together with some basic background information.
