In the fantasy world of Myr, the dwarven warrior Argyle Stormheart and his adopted daughter Shayna travel as soldiers of fortune. When they are hired to locate the kidnapped Princess of Highport, they have no idea they are being drawn into circles of political intrige and deception. Traveling far to the south they sail as crew members for the mysterious Captain Hull. When they reach the city of Bartel, they find the Princess his being held by the Slave Lord Tellor Pani. They must free the princess, escape the city, survive the sea and get back to Highport, all the while, being pursued by slavers and pirates. But will any of them survive the myserious Demon Island and its evil mistress, Kolaset?
