As captain of Rapier's Thrust, a privateer ship, Jaelik Tarlsson planned on getting captured by the Roostaan military. He didn't plan on hanging for his trouble. Then again, no privateer ever did. But the ghost of the lady he'd been cursed with demanded that he risk his life to secure dangerous artifacts their enemies could use against their allies in the war. To get away, Jaelik had to raise the forgotten Colossus of Mahrass from the sea bottom and fight his way clear of a harbor filled with enemy ships.
