This book graphically compares the career home run production for every power hitter to their career projected home run production based on at bats. An evaluation chart provides performance data for eras, seasons, age, batting side, leagues and teams. Evaluations are performed using a system based on the normal curve and standard deviation analysis of a variable called home run mutation. Home run mutation is the difference between how many home runs a player hit in a given season and the projected home runs they should have hit based on their career home run production rate. Although statistics are relied upon throughout the analysis process, a thorough understanding of statistics is not necessary to comprehend the information within this book.
