Grassy Top Mountain Fletcher C. Charles

There was only one homestead on Grassy Top. It was located about half way up the side of the mountain. When I was growing up it was a log house that had several additions added to it over the years. Where the family who lived there came from and when they moved to Grassy Top, no one recalls. It was quite common for landowners to give unfortunate families permission to build a house on their land. The people who came to these beautiful mountains were from different nations, were friendly, and believed in helping make life better for their neighbors and their new-found country. In this book I will write about a family who lived on Grassy Top Mountain, about their lives, and about the lives of their neighbors as best as I can recall from my memories and from stories that I heard. I am 89 years old as I write this story.
