"Life Thoughts" is a collection of many mental snapshots from my life, stored in memory and set down in rhythm and rhyme through the medium of poetry. I learned to love the musical quality of poetry listening to my mom read her verse's to me as a child. She developed this art to perfection, leaving me amazed at her uncanny ability to take any situation in our family and life, and breathe into it her own brand of humor and wisdom. I learned that there was more than just humor and wisdom in her work. There was and is a deeper, more meaningful truth which I have come to see; that without the ability to think we would be unable to create and bring to life even the smallest of ideas in our walk through this world. Because of "thought" I can write poetry, and in the process of doing so , I have learned more about myself and realize that whatever I am is the result of what I think. It is for this reason that I have titled this book, "Life Thoughts"; Thought being the greatest teacher of all.
