Dragon Coaster Stan Sussberg

Dragon Coaster is about my Dragon which is bipolar disorder. I don't fight the dragon with a sword but with paper and pen. Sometimes I don't win. Mostly the Dragon leaves me alone and I get on with my life. Dragon Coaster On pins and needles, ripples through my soul, Fear grips my throat on the Dragon Coaster, up the long, long slope then screaming off a cliff. I'm tilting to the left then right, moving at lightning speed, clanking over tracks. Lifting over peaks, finds me weightless at the top. Lightest in my head, heavy at the bottom, Lead is in my shoes. Hands to Heaven, We're swaying side to side, Singers in the Sky. Banking right I grip the bar, holding on for life, leaving my stomach at the top of every hill. up and down, and on and on. Tightness in my chest, waiting for this ride to end, That started long ago, peaks and valleys, Elation and depression. Fear is my best friend. Leave the tracks or Just sit back. Ride the Dragon Coaster until the ride is over, until the run is through.
