I Am with You: Book Two of Three: Katie's Journey with Christ Joann Mathews

Kristen's secret is exposed, and now the Maddison family must decide if she should leave or stay. Kristen struggles with her faith, and finds simple pleasures difficult. She tries enjoying her freedom by searching for memories of her mom, but is afraid she has lost them for good. Katie continues fighting the tumor growing inside her, and questions her faith as new problems arise. Everyone tries supporting her and the changes the tumor creates. Complicating symptoms keep multiplying, some life threatening. She struggles with her feelings and questions her needs for Kurt, as her health declines. Kurt wants to guide Katie through her medical problems, proving to her how the Lord will provide her strength and keep her safe. He finds this journey difficult as he struggles with his own problems. He is mistaken as a convicted felon and is assaulted by a troubled officer. A hospital nurse becomes obsessed with Kurt and he finds himself in unfamiliar territory. The officer tries to find clues to save Kurt, his own job and the anger inside himself from when a stranger hurt his daughter. The officer is tested, when the same stranger goes after his wife. Can these young adults find the individual strength to fight the evil surrounding them? Can Katie embrace her beliefs, or pushes away as her health fails? Does she believe the Lord is with her? I Am with You is a silent reminder of how the Lord is by our side and how without Him we will not have eternal life.
