"Lance Spangler grew up in a rural town in
Alabama. Diversity was an ugly word causing
him to recede from mankind and life. Taken by
his family to a foreign country as a missionary
furthered the distance between his known
world and aided in alienating the realm which
cannot be seen. Severe trauma was to bring
his life to an end until his father came to him
offering a journey he had long since felt was
improbable. A ?fishing trip? can mean little to
many but actually saved this writer?s life. This
