When Jan stumbles from her misery in London and follows a band of strangers to Morocco, she finds she cannot escape her past. Instead she is called upon to chase her own demons, and her two lover's as well. Forced to rely on those living on the edge of civilisation, they form a disjointed trio cleft with misled alliances and beliefs. Jan learns she must believe in the impossible. Ultimately she must confront unreality, where only the Power will save her sanity, and that of her friends, and her enemies.
