Little House in the Projects is the story of a nurse and her two children in the painful process of divorce. The story begins in 1980, when Lori's husband wants a separation. Suddenly her plans to continue PhD.work and teach are over. She begins a new career at a large federal hospital, where the position of Infection Control Nurse becomes available. She learns on the job as a mysterious outbreak occurs, and a nursing assistant dies. Little House in the Projects is a story of caring and growing up, forming a new family through tears, laughter and hard times.
