Using poetry was my way of journaling. It came easily and helped me to experience the joys, sorrows, happiness, pain, loves, and losses of my life. I was 12 when I started writing poems but it was not until this last year, after I experienced my greatest gain (myself) that I came to truly understand the powerful impact of this gift. Although I have been writing poems since I was I child, I have never had the courage to share. 2006-2007 however, has given me courage beyond measure and this undertaking embodies that.
