She is the author of &ltI>Media and Environment: Conflict, Politics and the News&lt/I> (2010) and co-editor with Simon Cottle of &ltI>Transnational Protests and the Media&lt/I> (Peter Lang, 2011). Her research has appeared in &ltI>Media, Culture & Society, International Journal of Communication&lt/I>, &ltI>Journalism&lt/I>, &ltI>Journalism Studies&lt/I> and &ltI>Media International Australia&lt/I>. She has also worked as a journalist for leading Australian newspapers and magazines.&ltBR> Brett Hutchins (PhD, University of Queensland) is Associate Professor and Co-Director of the Research Unit in Media Studies at Monash University.
