This book will tell of the neglect and abuse Marilyn received, It will tell of the improper medications she received, It will tell of the ignored complaints I made, It will tell of how some doctors don't even bother to read the records of a patient and go right ahead and prescribe medications the patient should not be getting. This is also a story of how I met her, How we grew up together and, after a two and a half year courtship, became man and wife. A good part of our years was a bit of a struggle, mostly health problems. Right after we wed, we were able to set up a cozy little apartment, this was toward the end of World WarII. Housing at that time was impossible. Servicemen coming home, hardly a place to live, quonset huts, over-crowded homes, somehow -- the whole situation, getting our apartment, and also being able to furnish it had to be amiracle and -- it was here we were blessed with our first child, a son, Vince (Vinnie) Jr. We never got ourselves into any serious trouble or debt, but there were a few times I would stand there and scratch my head and say to myself."What have I gotten us into."But somehow things always seemed to turn out for the best. This story tells of how I wanted to try to better myself, as a father and a husband, it wasn't easy, and I never did get rich, but we were comfortable. Marilyn was everything a man would ever want for his wife. Attractive, very much so, smart, firm but never demanding, so very kind and friendly to everyone, and hardly ever knowing what the word no meant. This was Marilyn, and this is our story
