First, I would like to thank God because without him this would not have been possible. Without spiritual inspiration and gaining strength through him to withstand many storms there would be no contents for this book. These writings illustrate years of wrenching agony and feelings of abandonment. There are scattered pieces within the book where I captured the connection between mother and daughter and those that were a constant influence in my life. Even though I had my immediate family there was still a presence of an enormous void. My experiences in life appeared so unjust and my intimate relationships always seemed to take a spiral effect. I found that writing poetry is a way to express my inner most thoughts and feelings. It comes so natural for me to pour out the contents of my heart on paper. I discovered that it is a way in which I am able to maintain my sanity and my positive outlook on life.
