With this miscellany of poems the author allows the reader into his own personal purgatory, a cheerless place of ruins and shadows where hope is all but swallowed up by loathing for life. It is a realm where one is easily lost in delusion and quickly destroyed by desire, a world peopled with cursed lovers, blood stained miscreants, and demented ghosts, where monsters roam unchecked, and even gods and angels are touched by brief and tainted guilt.
