Two surgeons from England, one trapped and another mistakenly, involved in the murder mystery of Delves a businessman from Buena Ventura. The case was closed as an accidental death due to asphyxia. Pereira, after assuming the top post of crime wing of Colombian police, reopened the case as he had a strong suspicion on Cecir's involvement in this death. Cecir had close business association with Delves, but suddenly vanished from the country by 2000. Mark Stephen an young surgeon attached to Newcastle hospital was holidaying in Europe, unaware of himself being on hot pursuit, by Carlos of Rochester with an intention to kill him. Mark realised about this murky chase when he reached Switzerland, and the hunt intensified thereafter till the end of the story at London.
