In 1976, a year before the launch of the Voyager II Spacecraft, Michael J. Harris reported in great detail, a long list of similarities between Uranus and Neptune, based entirely on ancient Sumerian texts. At the time, his claims were dismissed as "sensational journalism." However Voyager II ultimately confirmed the veracity of every detail reported. Likewise, when information from the Mars Global Surveyor was examined in 1999, once again Michael's claims, based strictly on those same ancient texts were completely supported. In an effort to bring the world up to speed with the reality and ramifications presented by these ancient Sumerian texts, Michael and Jim Tanner, his executive producer, create and broadcast a weekly television show called Wide Open. Their goal is to educate, integrate and activate the Global Community. As the show's popularity continues to grow, a mutual friend becomes the center of an extortion plot, plunging Michael and his executive producer into a tangled web of deceit, murder and intrigue. The only thing more shocking than the book's ending is the reader's realization that the information presented by the television show is not science fiction, but rather science fact.
