Sister Jo Palmeri Mpf
Book One, TALES FROM THE BARBER SHOP, told of Tony Palmeri, popular barber in the coal town of Pittston, PA, who told "Bald Barber" jokes as he began losing hair in his twenties. Tony's dynamic wit blossomed into a 40-year comedy routine, endearing him to the folks of Northeastern PA. With the humor of Robin Williams and the gentleness of Bing Crosby, there was no child whom Tony could not charm into a barber chair, and no sad person he could not make smile. His joy charged the air with energy, proving Scripture true: "A cheerful heart does good, like a medicine." (Proverbs 17:22)
