Kathy Evans's full-length debut, Trespassers Welcome, is a long overdue extravaganza of imaginative leaps, bounds, and deep dives, a worldwide web of seemingly unlikely but delightfully believable connections . . . from the everyday to the unexpected. Her work is profoundly playful and playfully profound--no mean feat in these parlous times.

KATHY EVANS is the author of three other collections of poetry: Imagination Comes To Breakfast, As The Heart is Held, and Hunger and Sorrow, which won the Small Press Poetry Prize. She has taught with California Poets in the School (now Cal Poets), at Marin County Juvenile Hall, The University of San Francisco, the College of Marin, as well as The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. She was an artist-in-residence at the Headlands Center for the Arts, and is currently a poet-in-residence at The Benioff Children's Hospital in Oakland and San Francisco. She lives in San Rafael, California, by the library.
