TravisFlores wrote the 'Spider Who Never Gave Up' when he was 8 years old. This children's story is about a spider, named Sparkey, who could notspin a web. With some encouragement fromhis mom he never gave up trying and finally he spins a perfect web. Travis wrote this story as asimilarity to his own life and his battle with Cystic Fibrosis. WhenTravis started being admitted to the hospital, he met other children that weresick, and he wanted to help encourage them to never give up. Thisinspired him to write this story. This book is one of Travis' waysto reach out with his message of encouragement to other people to never give up on what they want to do in life or ontheir dreams no matter how bad things get.
