The Unforgotten Child is a true story based on a parent who lost custody of his handicapped daughter to the State of Indiana through no fault of his own and the battle to win her back. It goes into great length telling about the years of hardships, misunderstandings, court trials and orders that he and his family endure in order to reverse a decision that was made under the wrong assumptions from long ago. It is set in a diary type of setting in order that the reader may better understand the flow of happenings as they actually occurred. You meet the family, learn of their love and determination to undo a wrong and make it right no matter how long it took. And no matter what obstacles they had to overcome. You meet the people that they had to deal with along the way during their ordeals, and in the end make new friendships, have new insights, and new beginnings.
