After the devastating passage of a planet through the Milky Way Galaxy, Earth is on a course to oblivion, because the visitor, an escapee from another galaxy, spewed forth radiation which rendered women infertile. A plane carrying a group of scientists to Rio de Janeiro crashes in the Amazon jungle. Two people survive the crash and find themselves guests of an indigenous people the world knows nothing about. Here, life goes on, babies are being born, and unless Dr. Mullins and his wife can inform the world, this race of brown people are destined to be the sole inheritors of Earth.
