This is a journal of daily life over a period of nine years for two individuals in the prime of their lives who suddenly face a devastating diagnosis of Early OnSet Alzheimer's. When the one being cared for is young, athletic, healthy and actively engaged in a career, the caregiver faces the challenges of maintaining quality of life (keep actively engaged), what to tell/who to tell, driving concerns, career/retirement, social connections/support, hospital care, law enforcement response, doctor/medication decisions, wandering/missing person/911, insurance/finances, Silver Alert and more. In general society has seen dementia as an "old people" ailment. Today the number of individuals in their 30s, 40s, and 50s being diagnosed with Alzheimer's is alarming. The need for a strong support group with these individuals is imperative.
