Melissa Rogers is a happy healthy seventeen year old girl living in a small suburban town with her parents and two brothers. But Melissa does have a strange quirk. She likes to talk to herself whenever she has something on her mind. But not only does the girl 'think' aloud, she but also discusses certain 'people' aloud, and maybe that kind of 'loud thinking' should be left inside your mind. In the privacy of her own bedroom, Melissa talks about her friends in a not so caring way, and she does this in the presence of her beloved kitty cat, Buttons. Buttons is sweet and loving, and Melissa loves him and treats him like a best friend...confiding in him on a daily basis, and if Buttons were a 'diary', his pages would be full. But what Melissa doesn't know, is that Buttons is a very faithful and loyal pet, and he would do absolutely anything to make sure that his owner stayed happy. Melissa also doesn't know... Buttons can hear her every word.
