Looking on My Life As I Remember It Jr. Robert Folk

My name is Robert G. Folk, Jr. I am a 93-year-old widower. I was born during the Great Depression, and like many from my generation, I was a hard worker. Many say that people who grew up in the Depression were not only hard workers, but they were realists about life. Moreover, many became innovators. To prove my point, I like to refer to the fact that Walt Disney came of age during my era, and he created Disneyland, in spite of the depression. I am proud to say that I am part of this American song and my life, too, has made a difference. That's why I am writing my story to encourage the younger generations, who have experienced the effects of the current lingering recession, to see that it is all part of the American Dream. For all America has gone through, World Wars, depressions, recessions, we are survivors. We will make it.
