The wolves are no mere animals, instilling fear in those outside the valley who only have mystery to explain that place. She arrives in town and is thought of as a trickster. Hearing the rumors of the wolves, her insight on all things trickery assumes the mystery behind the valley to be nothing more than illusion. He is a young man eager to explore.
