Hermann Alfred Hirt
The distinguished German philologist Hermann Hirt (1865–1936) wrote this seven-volume grammar soon after the discovery of Tocharian and the decipherment of Hittite. Volume 7 (1937) was in the press when the author died. It completes Hirt's presentation of syntax, covering sentence structure, co-ordination, subordination and word order.
