Psychotic or Not? Tia Magdalena

Based on a true experience of psychosis and mental illness, psychotic or not tells the story of Sonia; a newly appointed community psychiatric nurse that works with a strange and enigmatic patient called Ian Dennison. Dennison, a former police officer presents himself as charming, witty and intelligent- in direct conflict with the horrific acts he has perpetrated when unwell. As their relationship develops she gradually gains insight to his life and the events that led up to the terrible incidents that brought him to the attention of the authorities. As she begins to understand the nature of psychosis from his, his wife's and the other professionals prospective in relation to this man she slowly releases and confronts her own trauma, fears and pain, leading to a climax that will leave the reader questioning the validity of mental health treatment itself.
