Hunter Simms is a recent Ivy League graduate who is a magnet for bad jobs, corrupt bosses, and seedy coworkers. In this first series, as Hunter learns of the loss of his mother, unexpected circumstances lead him to find a job, but he discovers it's not a normal job-it represents an entirely different culture, with its own philosophies, language, and unique characters. Hunter's manager then gets promoted out and he vows to take him and one other person to another city, where Hunter excels in his new career as a field sales rep. It is there that Hunter realizes another side to them and in the end, he is affected by the sobering reality of payback (no pun intended). This novel offers a humorous and satirical perspective on workplace bullying.
