Have you ever had the unexpected push out of your comfort zone? What do you do when you are faced with yourself and you don't like what you see? That is what happened to me. I was forced to look at myself in the mirror of truth and take the mask of. I realized I needed a facelift of the soul and spirit. In order to do that I had to take ownership of the mistakes I made, the fears not faced, the negative self-talk but most of all I had to learn to celebrate myself for the accomplishments and the achievements I've made along the way. I was standing on the sidelines of life cheering for others, supporting others and believing in others' dreams. I was allowing my dreams to die inside of me. I wanted to be seen but afraid to be seen all at the same time. I hid behind the wrinkles of excuses, lines of failures, the acne of guilt and shame and the negative chatter of childhood scars. I was afraid of being labeled as an imposter because of my gender identity/sexual preference and the perception of others based on outside appearance. Yes, I was wearing my makeup well. The voice of my brilliance has been awakened in me with assurance that no one can terminate the purpose and plan of God for my life. I am enough. I belong to God. This book is written for those of us who reply to Jesus's question, "Do you want to be whole?" with a loud resounding YES, I DO. This book shares steps to wholeness that I embarked upon.
