Lost in Wildcat Cove is a story about a brave little chipmunk named Chippy. Chippy lived with his mother and siblings in a quiet cove in the Lake of the Ozarks. The shoreline of the cove was surrounded by plenty of trees and lots of ground for the critters who live there to roam. Chippy was the littlest chipmunk in his scurry. Being the brave chipmunk that he was, Chippy left the safety of his burrow to explore the world outside. As he explored the wonders around him, he found that he had lost his way and did not know how to get home. Chippy was scared and needed to find a way to get back to his burrow. As he looked around and tried to find his way, he came across other critters that lived in the cove. Some of the critters he met in the cove were a not very nice snake named Simon, a mother groundhog named Greta, and a turtle named Timmy. Along the journey Chippy learned the valued of friendship and that sometimes it is necessary to stand up and face your fears to help a friend.
