Taylor Sheppard uses her genius IQ to create the first self-thinking microchip. Her pride turns to shock when she learns her stepdad is selling it to the Russians to embed in weapons, taking war to a new level. Shattered, she steals her design and runs, leaving the only world she knows. When the Russians realize only Taylor is capable of programming the chip, the chase begins. Pursued and alone, she searches for the real dad she never met. Jack Garret is a retired Navy pilot who does not know Taylor is his daughter, or how meeting her would change his world. Meanwhile, Bryce inserts the sample chips in attack drones to prove their worth, then uses them in horrifying attacks, from killing dozens of protesters in Portland, to destroying F35 fighter jets at Lemoore Air Force base in California. The Russians demand he uses his last few drones to assassinate the president on the White House lawn. Jack must keep his daughter alive and stop the terrorism before the Russians capture them.
