Away from the noise of alarms clocks, horns, and sirens. Away from exams, evaluations, grades, interviews, assessments, and financial concerns. Away from frustrated supervisors, heavy workloads, and deadlines sometimes missed. Away from the demands of marriageand other relationships. Away from teenagers and energetic, noisy little ones and caring for aging parents. Away from household chores and endless projects. From the fears of the unknown and the pain of misunderstanding, disappointment, and suffering. At times we all have a deep desire to be led away to a place of peaceful solitude. The inspiration for writing this collection of poetry is to provide readers poems that speak to the human experience and cause them to embrace quiet thoughts.
