Assessing Administrative Systems Nathan Dickmeyer
Assessing Administrative Systems
Nathan Dickmeyer
On one level this book is about administrative assessment and my concern that, guided by regional accreditation, we have been focusing on the wrong targets. We should be assessing administrative systems, not offices. This is a book on assessment. At another level, this is a book about managing change. The purpose of assessment is to locate where change is needed in our administration of a college or university. A good assessment will tell us where change will have the most impact on institutional effectiveness. This is a book on college transformation. On a third level, this book is about modeling. System assessment requires that we construct a model of the way our college does something. This is a "how-to" book on system modeling.
