It is essential for children to learn to read by age 9 because by then they are reading to learn instead of learning to read. Children that struggle to read English tend to struggle to learn other subjects because they are unable to keep up and can lose confidence in learning. A lot of children that struggle to read tend to struggle with words that cannot be broken down by phonics known as sight words. There are a group of these words every child between the ages of 5-9 years old need to know to be proficient enough to comprehend or understand what they are reading. The aim of this book is to combine identified sight words for ages 5-9 in a sentence and phrase format to make it easier for children to remember them instead of having to memorizing them. This book can also help reinforce sight words learned in school or home helping a child develop confidence. This book is also beneficial for a parent or teacher to assess a child's sight word knowledge by how many sentences and phrases the child can read and give further instructions when necessary
