This edition contains selected poems on a very narrow topic, written around my first hand experience with a progressive terminal illness. It is part of, and the most recent addition (and likely last), to my curated collection of several hundred poems that have been penned over four decades. For this volume I've selected poems that cover differing aspects of end of life experiences. Originally compiled for those challenged with terminal illnesses. My hope here is to reflect upon, offer support, and share compassion with other experiencing like thoughts/experiences. I'm sure they will validate the feelings of many whom find it difficult to express thoughts/wants, that are unwelcome by those not faced with similar circumstances. At the same time, it may challenge long held beliefs, or reinvigorate adherence to them. Family members, friends, and those working with terminally ill patients may also benefit from the wide ranging perspectives offered in these commentaries.
