The moment you lose control of yourself, that's when someone else takes it. Things begin to rapidly deteriorate for the Garage DaVinci, Bernie Shaw. Aime quickly grows out of naivety and becomes overwhelmed by the finer points of humanity: Betrayal, treachery, and vainglory. The human world can be just as artificial as she is. Aime finds others like herself as quantum AI technology continues to diffuse into the mainstream. Bernie and Aime are in for the hardest fight against their most destructive foes: Their own self-interest. In the end, Aime must find out what it really takes to be her own person and not just another cog in the machine.
