After learning his brother is missing, a mistaken outlaw from Wales must leave and travel to 1850's America to find him. Upon arriving he trades head pieces with a tall mustachless bearded man from Illinois. After the purchase of a horse called Ed, with minimal vocabulary, he sets out to find a guide. Josey happens upon Popeye, a glass-eyed Indian with a patch over the other eye, unsuccessfully operating a native American gift stand. His dream is to be a proctologist. The two head west but not before befriending Blaine, a gay sheep herder at his mountain camp site. The three hit the trail to find Josey's brother Slim, who is rumored to be in San Francisco. After finding a not so dead man hanging from a tree, a Delorean and teaching the Indians from Cleveland a new game, the boys encounter trouble in a couple of wild towns before meeting the White Moses, Brigham Young in Utah. As they crest the Sierra Mountains they run into a hungry fellow named Donner, then meet a man they call Bison Bob who puts the boys in a hole. They end their journey in San Francisco only to find out rumors beat them there. Talk in town has the boys pillaging and plundering their way across the country leaving destruction wherever they go. The sheriff catches up to them and with a makeshift trial they find themselves on the end of a rope...
