Caroline Henderson has just published her first book: a true crime anthology focused on supervillains. At 26, she feels like her real life has finally begun. So it kind of sucks when two of her disgruntled subjects attack her with experimental weaponry, causing her to wake up in her own teenage body ten years in the past. Realizing she's arrived just days before the death of a young hero, Caroline becomes convinced she was sent back to make the future better. With the help of her best friend Sarah, Caroline invents a superhero identity of her own and sets out to prevent the same tragedies she once wrote about, not knowing which of them will be her ticket home.
